I didn’t want to only be known as the pretty, blonde daughter of a famous race car driver. I wanted to make a name for myself and I wasn’t going to let anyone get in my way. So when I saw the opportunity of a lifetime, I jumped. Being the face of the hottest new racing team in the business was a dream come true.
Until he showed up.
Griffin McGregor. Bad boy star driver. On the track, he’s gold. Off the track? He’s everything my daddy ever warned me about. Infuriatingly egotistical, explosive temper, argumentative know-it-all…why does he have to be so freaking hot?
It’ll be a miracle if we can get this team to the championship title without killing each other. Or worse. Because the last thing I’m going to do is wreck my career by jumping in bed with a race car driver.
One of my favorite things about this book is Shelby, she’s not your typical weak/whiny heroine. Nope. She’s strong and knows exactly what she wants, but she also has a very vulnerable side. She’s very loyal and doesn’t take crap from anyone, not even the sexy bad boy himself, aka Griffin. Griffin is, or should I say was, a playboy. He loves being in the spotlight, but he loves winning more. I’d say at the beginning he’s what I call a sore-winner. He loves rubbing it in everyone’s faces when he win a race and that has put Smoke and Mirrors in a very bad light. Shelby comes along to try and fix his and the shop’s reputation, but can she tame the bad boy drifter? Dive into this and find out!
I thought A Taste of Bliss was good…Drift Heat just brought Adrian R. Hale to a whole other level! Griffin was so Cocky and arrogant, and Shelby was giving just as good she got! I loved her sass and her strength. It was so reassuring to see a heroine actually have a good head on her shoulders and not let anyone take advantage of her. Griffin may have started off as the Cocky bad boy of drifting racing but he quickly saw something in Shelby that had him turning his sour mood around.
This book will show you exactly what happens when Fire meets Gasoline!!!!
Adrian R. Hale loves sugar and spice and everything nice–so of course she loves a good happy ending, in fiction and otherwise.
When she’s not writing, she is making people beautiful as a hair and makeup artist, or trying to run off her overconsumption of sugar. A born and raised California girl, she now resides in Austin, TX with her husband and fur babies.
Playing with her imaginary friends is as common to her now as it was when she was a child; the only difference is now she lets other people know about them through her writing. She would love to hear from you at firstname.lastname@example.org or Facebook.com/adrianrhaleauthor.
