A Taste of Bliss
By; Adrian R. Hale
For Bliss Kaufman the world is hers to make beautiful. Well, making things beautiful is sort of her job description, since she is a hair and make-up artist. She works hard to make people gorgeous, but because she works at an agency she gets only a small percentage of the profits from her jobs. On a particular job at a beautiful winery in California Bliss meets the very charismatic Talon McGregor. She orders a lite snack at the bar but Talon will not be satisfied with such a small meal choice. Using his sweet talking Jedi mind control he convinces Bliss to follow him and have something more appropriate for a woman so beautiful.
Bliss feels herself being drawn to Talon and knows she won’t be able to resist him for very long. But having a relationship is not in her plans right now. She has to get her career started as a freelance hair and make-up artist. Talon is not so easily pushed aside and quickly jumps at his chance to help Bliss further her career by making her the Vineyards go-to beauty guru. Bliss is confused, how could a bartender have so much pull at a Vineyard.
Talon and Bliss are blissfully happy until a call from someone very close to Bliss causes her heart to shatter.
How does one love with a shattered heart?
First off I am a cover whore. Yes… I know, I know. You should never judge a book by its cover. So sue me. Not really.
The cover is so beautifully done. It’s classy yet steamy. Come on, who wouldn’t dive in from looking at that?
Bliss is funny, quirky and stubborn as all get out. My kind of girl. Talon is sexy, sweet, and will not take no for an answer. My Favorite kind of book boyfriend!
The relationship that Talon and Bliss form is the stuff of which fairytales are made. And just like fairytales there is always a bit of tragedy somewhere in the story.
This story, spoke not only to my mind, it dug into my soul. I laughed, I cried, I got mad and I am pretty sure I made a friend in Bliss Kaufman. Yes, I know she isn’t real. But the story that Adrian gives you makes you wish she was. This is Adrian’s debut novel and I for one cannot wait to see what she gives us next.
I met Adrian at a book signing in Austin. It was fate that we crossed paths. After talking with her about her book I knew I’d love it. She didn’t fail me, I absolutely loved it!
This is a love story about Bliss and Talan with real life thrown in.
It was really personal to me because I have been through some of what Bliss goes through in the book. I cried, I laughed, and I swooned. Talan is amazing. I want him! Do we have a copy machine that will spit out perfect men yet? Someone should invent that cause Talan will be the first, and probably last, one I print.
